Me and the missus have now stayed twice at the Sunline Central hotel, and yep, you can add it to the wish-list!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the few times we&#8217;ve visited Hanoi, it was always a bit hit-and-miss trying to find a good Hanoi hotel that met all the requirements. We&#8217;ve even gone without the requirements and done the cheap and nasty, no-window hotels if we know we&#8217;re just passing through on a trip to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/gogogovietnam.com\/sapa-in-vietnam-the-essential-guide\/\" title=\"Sapa in Vietnam: the ESSENTIAL guide\">Sapa<\/a><\/strong> or <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/gogogovietnam.com\/ha-giang-loop-3-days-of-amazing-views-people-food\/\" title=\"Ha Giang Loop: 3 days of amazing views, people &amp; food!\">HaGiang<\/a><\/strong> or <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/gogogovietnam.com\/where-is-halong-bay-in-vietnam\/\" title=\"Where is Halong Bay in Vietnam?\">Halong Bay<\/a><\/strong>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But yes, our requirements are probably very similar to yours:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Close to (or in) the Old Quarter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Close to Hoan Kiem Lake<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cheap as possible but as luxurious as possible<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Close to some excellent Pho<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Air conditioned<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Decent shower<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>After what was probably way too long searching online, a couple of years ago we found the Sunline Central (or Sunline Hotel) on Ng. B\u00e1o Kh\u00e1nh street, just around the corner from Hoan Kiem Lake. We spent a great 4 nights there, and, as we were on our honeymoon, they even surprised us with a cake and balloons!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This summer we were back for another 5 nights, and weren&#8217;t disappointed. The rooms are great, not too small, and well within budget (you can get a decent honeymoon double room for less than \u00a340). And in addition to meeting our requirements, the staff were excellent and very friendly, the breakfast was decent (included in the price &#8211; but, I confess, some mornings we headed for some nearby pho at the legendary <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/gogogovietnam.com\/best-pho-in-hanoi-give-pho-10-ly-quoc-su-a-try\/\" title=\"Best Pho in Hanoi? Give Ph\u1edf 10 L\u00fd Qu\u1ed1c S\u01b0 a try!\">Pho 10 Ly Quoc Su<\/a><\/strong>), and the room cleaning\/bed makeover super-quick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not gonna lie, this Hanoi hotel is decent, possibly even more so if you&#8217;re a couple. We recommend!
